To Copy by Translation

Select
(Copy node).

Select a node to be copied.
The Node Properties dialog opens.

Define a
CopyFrom point and a
CopyTo point.
You can pick a node in the view that defines the point.

Click in the view to Apply changes. That creates a line from one
point to another.
This type of copy by translation creates a duplicate of the selected geometry and is subjected to the transforms applied to the original. This is a very lightweight way of creating instances of nodes, but in this case the variations are limited only to the transformations applied to the reference points.
